Applying Mindfulness in the Modern Era
Focus on and take a deep breath. Though you may not always be aware of it, there is a reason you exist in the modern era. The universe has chosen this moment in time and space for to you be alive. Embrace it! Do not run away from modern society, instead, apply the idea of mindfulness to everything you do and turn that power into purpose.
Mindfulness is really a meditative state, a more complete version of yourself where your whole being is involved in reality. By applying mindfulness to not only your environment, but to your thoughts and feelings as well, will provide you with immense joy. This means that you can apply mindfulness to your work, your anxiety, your fears, and your love. By doing this you can more completely share in existence and have a full life in the here and now.
Take the very basic idea of mindfulness and start at your breath. Your breath is the one thing in your life that will be present from the day you are born until the day you die. It is a built it grounding tool that allows you to recenter yourself. I cannot emphasize enough the importance of your breath. Once you center on this amazing flow of energy you can expand that awareness to all areas of your life.
